Kathy Deitch teaches Broadway by the beach!

Posted by Robyn Burns on May 07, 2012 (0 Comments)
From the woman who made it on Broadway:
WICKED -- RENT -- HAIR -- FOOTLOOSE -- and SO much more!

*Mission
To make auditioning something you look forward to instead of dread-- so that talented folks CAN book jobs!

AUDITIONS BOOT CAMP breaks down your musical theatre audition process moment to moment:
*Entering the room
*Speaking to your accompanist with clarity
* Finding the right focal point
* Managing a graceful exit
* ...and all points in between.

You know, all the stuff you never rehearse after you learn your music.

Kathy’s class is the only class out there that deals in the one area where actors tend to shoot themselves in the foot – what to do in the audition room when you are not singing or reading your sides.
Of course she also helps you with your performance and gives advice on appropriate material. But honestly, your entrance into the room, the dialogue between songs with the CD and your interaction with the accompanist are just as important.

Limited space available for this 3 hour intimate workshop for only $50 a person!
*Note: Scholarships available.
Ages 14 and up (all persons under 18 must accompanied by a guardian)
Please direct all questions for Support@etherealfx.com

SUCCESS @ I.A.A.P.A. 2010 in Orlando!

Posted by Robyn Burns on November 20, 2010 (16 Comments)

I.A.A.P.A. Had over 14,000 qualified buyers attend the show this last week and Ethereal FX was in the thick of it! Tons of folks a were introduced to the ease and flexibility of Ether-Light system and found ways it made their business better! We had folks in many industries realize that low voltage prop and lighting control has never been easier, cheaper, or more versatile. While we were told this was a slow show compared to previous years we were kept very busy, and interested parties kept dragging their friends, co-workers, and even total strangers that they met at the show back to our booth. Uses customers found for our equipment at this show include; installation of flexible lighting on Inflatable attractions, museum lighting, themed environments and theatrical sets, costuming, make-up, haunted attractions and dark rides, DMX automation of entire scale models and topo-maps, theatrical accent lighting, mini-golf courses, parade floats, and even elaborate lighting of caves!

Ethereal FX continues to offer the highest quality lighting and low voltage control at unbelievable prices and this show made it apparent that the people agree with our belief that the control and technology needs to be in the hands of the people with the visions, not just those with huge budgets and engineers. Artists, designers and even those who don't consider themselves either can now automate, light, and control their wildest visions!

Theme parks: While we are not at liberty to release any details of the projects we are involved in I would still like to acknowledge that there are some great things happening in this industry that will excite everyone!

Haunted attractions & Dark Rides: We are excited to continue working with the industry that gave Ethereal FX it's start and continues to help Ethereal FX grow, develop new products and ideas, and provide some of our closest friends. The Netherworld in Atlanta continues to take their show to the next level and has adopted our products.

Museums: Lots of new friends in the museums all over and we welcome the new and very interesting uses. If you get a chance check out 3dphotoworks.

F.E.C. & Amusement: Lighting that small park owners can understand and self install yet is flexible enough for large high end installations made a big splash and is being used now in all manner of ways I never imagined!

I couldn't begin to list all the great things that came from I.A.A.P.A. 2010  but we will be sure to see you again at I.A.A.P.A 2011! I.A.A.P.A was the last trade show of 2010 where we attended Transworld H.A.A.S., Mid West Haunter's Convention, West Coast Haunter's Convention, HauntCon, R.M.G., Live Design International, and International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. It's been a great year and we will see all of our new friends, clients, and helpers next year with some more great products and services.
