ENTTEC OPEN DMX

 USB to DMX512 (5 pin)

Allows quick, easy, inexpensive DMX control from any PC via a USB port. Compatible with all DMX control software referred to and all equipment sold on ethereal FX.com.

 

This project has been released with a GPL license, you are free to do what ever you want with the design, with the following restrictions:

• Any modification to the hardware or software must be given back to the community.
• You cannot remove or modify any copyright notice.

This DMX USB interface is based on the FTDI 232BM chip, it's a USB to serial converter. Using a simple application on a PC you can send DMX512.

NOTE: Currently this product is available for less money from ENTTEC.com. If your ordering from within the U.S. ordering from Ethereal FX will cost your the same (after shipping) and will be delivered faster. We are working with enttec to bring this price down even further but can not say with certainty when this will happen.
